What makes a good painter and decorator?
Experience:
You need a painter and decorator who knows their stuff. You should not have to pay another painter to correct the inferior job of the first one. We been painting Herne Bay, Remuera, Orakei, St Heliers, Mission Bay, Ponsonby, the CBD, North Shore, Northland, Waiheke Island, Havelock North, Queenstown and even Fiji for over 25 years. You can’t stay in business in a city the size of Auckland that long if your work is not up to scratch.
Competence:
It takes training and skill to do a job like painting and decorating properly: to apply paint with clean lines, smooth strokes and crisp edges. After 25 years we have a very good understanding of how to treat each particular surface being painted, and as high-end painters we always make sure all surfaces are prepared, properly. It is the only way to ensure a longer-lasting, more attractive finish. We are members of the Porter’s Applicator’s Guild and have the full backing of Dulux as one of their preferred applicators.
Tidiness:
We have an all care and all responsibility policy at all times. We treat your home better than if it were our own. We provide full surface protection and remove and/or cover all furniture before sanding, tape all trims, windows and door frames. We generally try to be as invisible as possible. We make sure that at the end of each work day we leave your home clean and tidy with drop cloths folded and put away and, as much as possible, all signs of us gone.
Dependability:
Experience and skill are great, but they’re not much use if your skilled painting and decorating team doesn’t show up when supposed to. You shouldn’t have to wait around for things to get done. Good painting work takes organisation, coordination and good communication. Our very ‘hands on’ project management means that all our painting and decorating jobs are done in a timely, professional manner, and with regular communication between all parties involved. You’ll know exactly what’s happening at every stage of your painting project. My team always shows up on time and leaves when they are supposed to.
Perfection:
A great painter is meticulous, even pedantic. They need a love of detail and an obsession with good preparation. Walls should be washed, each stroke applied in clean lines – the best way for a smooth finish. Only quality paints from name brand manufacturers should be used. We prefer paints by Dulux, Porters, Resene, Aalto and Wattyl and and our attention to even the most minute of details helps us produce flawless finishes. Our painting services begin with thorough preparation and end with a final, meticulous check.
